Waste management services include
hazardous waste characterization, transportation, storage and
disposal. Hazardous waste which GCC is
licensed to handle include: halogenated and chlorinated solvents,
oil and oil contaminated debris, PCBs (limited quantities), wastewater
treatment sludges, acids and alkalines, metal-bearing wastes,
and pesticides.
GCC also
handles used fuel oils for recycling and certain non-hazardous wastes
that are not suitable for disposal with regular solid waste.
The facility is also authorized to serve as a "transfer facility" under
EPA’s Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA) regulations covering PCBs.
